ANANDA APPEAL TO HELP TSUNAMI VICTIMS
People have asked us how they can be involved in helping victims of the tsunami.
Every donation that is made to support relief efforts, Ananda Foundation will
match up to ten thousand dollars. No contribution is too small or insignificant.
Our goal is to raise US$ 5,000 by April 2005. For
every dollar that you give, Ananda Foundation will make a matching
donation until we reach our goal. In this way, we can maximize resources and
get them to where they are needed. A little bit of money goes a long way. We
welcome your participation.
Ananda Foundation supports small scale local NGOs (nongovernmental organizations) who work directly in communities of need. Ananda Foundation is partnering with two NGOs to provide aid to victims of the tsunami in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. These NGOs are actively providing emergency disaster relief for food, water, medicines and basic provisions and we have direct communication with them. We extend our our message of sympathy to families, survivors, and friends. This natural catastrophe has touched the lives of many including some of the communities that we support. It will take the coordinated efforts of several agencies to make this relief operation fully functional. Read a first hand account and update from the field from our collaborating NGOs.
If you have already made a contribution to a charity -- thank you. If you would like to make a contribution, it is appreciated. 100 % of your donation will go to the people who need it. Information on our collaborating NGOs and additional ways that you can help may be found below. We hope to have regular updates from the field so you can see how your money is being put to work. We thank you for reading this and for your consideration.
